Anupama Singh is a qualified social worker with over 10 years of experience. Anupama is an independent consultant on development issues related to women’s empowerment and dignity, combating violence against women, legal literacy for women , targeted intervention among high risk groups in the context of HIV, gender responsive budgeting, declining girl child sex ratio in India (sex selection and sex selective abortions), health and health policies including violence against women as a public health and human rights issue, nutrition, reproductive health, HIV and AIDS , girl child education and vocational training, managing severe acute malnutrition in children specially girl children and enhancing overall dignity of the girl child. Anupama has been a part of several projects for women empowerment and eradication of female foeticide with International Social Organizations.

Anupama Singh is also the Senior Vice State President for ‘Sarv Samaj Vyapar Mandal’- around 150,000 businessmen and women all over U.P. are members of this organization.

This dynamic lady has extensive work experience in some other fields too. She was the Head of Department, Library and Information Sciences, Ramswaroop university as well as Amity University. She was formerly a Pradesh Prabhati for U.P. Police welfare association. Anupama is the Honorly President for Spandan Sewa Sansthan and Honorly Patron for Anti corruption and Crime investigation front.

Her work experience extends to the field of editorship as well. Anupama Singh is the editor for an online news portal called publicpowernews.com. She is also the former sub-editor of daily newspaper Dainik Public Power.
