Indu Jain – a woman entrepreneur with a wise mind and purest heart.
In a country like India which is dominated by male business tycoons, it has never been easy for a woman entrepreneur to establish an empire which is worth minimum 3.1 billion US dollars today! It’s an inspiring story of the woman with generosity in her heart and resilience in her bones.
She proves to be one of the best example of female entrepreneurs of India who made it huge by building an empire which fetched her a spot in the Forbes list.
Indu Jain, born in a small town named Faizabad at Uttarpradesh was destined to be the daughter of an Agarwal Sahu Jain family who grew up into a courageous young lady and developed a spiritual quality in her nature. She tied knots to Ashok Kumar Jain (late) and became his very good friend and mentor, she was more than just a wife to him. She gave birth and raised two sons Sameer Jain and Vineet Jain who now manage The Times group under her guidance.
Indu Jain is now the Chief executive officer (CEO)of Bennett Coleman and Co limited which was established in the year 1838 at Mumbai city (Bombay). She has a reputation for being saintly yet determined to encourage young entrepreneurs especially women. In India, she’s the mastermind behind the media giant The Times Network and grew it with sincerity and dedication. The Chairperson of The Times of India is Indu Jain and not only this, she also contributes wise words in the spiritual column of the most supplied newspaper of the country.

Alas! Life isn’t a cakewalk for she faced criticisms about the content printed in the Times of India and The Economic Times. According to few sources, the newspaper was published with huge wide space for advertisements which mislead the point of news and was becoming much more like a magazine! during the year of recession in 1990s it was resolved.
The team of Times Network is a helping hand when it comes to disaster reliefs which is commanded by the humanist Indu Jain who believes in values like empathy and compassion.
